Saturday I got access to a ranch whose owners rarely let in the public. Here are some pics from the shoot. Who else showed up? My little brother! He was shooting the event for the local newspaper. Everytime I see him I’m struck by A) how handsome he is, and B) how much he resembles our father.

I know! About 5 minutes before he showed up my camera’s battery pack died! Think of this combo: Gregory Peck and George Clooney.
Thanks for pic comment. Not happy with the tree shot. The shutter stayed open too long and with the hand-held . . . well, it’s too shaky. I don’t think the plein air effect I was going for really came off. Ah, well.
I can only imagine how beautiful the sunset actually was if the sunset picture did not portray it accurately. I do like it, but understand where you are coming from. I am always frustrated that the camera does not capture what I “see.” That is why I want to take up painting again at some point in the future.
